Why is it that Kyle Busch can’t win a race on his own? He leads the Sprint Cup series after stealing a win away from Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Crown Royal’s Dan Lowry 400 at Richmond and finishing second to Clint Bowyer. Bowyer’s win was overshadowed by the shenanigans of Busch who turned into Earnhardt’s car and then blamed Earnhardt for the loss. According to the arrogant, pre-pubescent looking Busch, had Earnhardt moved out of his way and let him pass, then Jr. would have taken second place. Yeah, okay Busch. We all know you have to cheat to win, but frankly, you aren’t that good to deserve to beat Earnhardt in a fair race. You give NASCAR racing a bad name.
Earnhardt Jr. was set to win the first race in a 71-race losing streak. When Busch turned into Earnhardt Jr. (and I could see it coming because Kyle has a habit of hitting people to win a race or take a top ten placement), his fender forced Earnhardt to spin out and into the wall. He had to return to the pits and managed to take a 15th place finish, but Busch opened up the lead for Clint Bowyer, who was in third and sailed past Busch. This is Bowyer’s second Sprint Cup win.
Busch made it clear in his post-race interviews that he was willing to do whatever it took to try and get a win even if that meant intentionally hitting another driver.
“If I went out there on that final restart and just gave way to the 88 car, then that would not be a true race car driver. I had to do what I had to do to win for my team. That’s what I was out there for and to do, to try to get a win. Unfortunately, circumstances happened.”
With less than ten laps to go, Earnhardt Jr. had pulled a considerable distance ahead of Busch. Busch’s teammate with Joe Gibbs racing, Denny Hamlin, is the one who made sure Kyle had the chance to mess Earnhardt up. Hamlin intentionally stayed on the track despite having a leak and forcing a caution. Once the caution was out, he started up again and made his way to the pits without a problem. Hamlin was punished by NASCAR with a two lap penalty for his intentional stop. Both he and Joe Gibbs racing deserve to be fined. Who really was punished by this was Earnhardt Jr. who was forced back despite leading in a way Busch would have a hard time in catching up with him.
As Earnhardt Nation furiously threw stuff on the track to give Earnhardt time to get into and out of the pits, it was too late with only two laps left and Earnhardt back in 16th place. Luckily, Bowyer was able to hold on and steal away the win from Busch (Bowyer races for Richard Childress Racing), but Busch is now leading in the overall Sprint Cup series and he doesn’t deserve to be there.
It’s sad that Joe Gibbs Racing seems to condone such ill behavior by its racers, but with Busch and Hamlin both pulling crap to cheat the racing company into first place, it’s pretty clear they’ll let their racers do anything to win. Unfortunately, what they don’t realize is that Kyle Busch seems to only be out for himself. Having caused crashes for teammate Tony Stewart in past races, while the other Joe Gibbs racers will win for Joe Gibb, Kyle will win for Kyle and anyone who gets in his way will be taken care of by Kyle.

Listen Buddy…before you go calling Denny Hamlin a cheater you better be prepared for a war. He wasn’t sure his tire was going down and the risk of pitting without a problem was too great. So he stopped on the racetrack instead of tearing up his car…so what. Your precious Dale Jr. crashed himself and anyone else around him week after week. Maybe from your seat you couldn’t see the replay that showed Junior come down on Kyle. I don’t like Kyle what so ever but you call my driver a cheater and all bets are off! The only person Earnhardt Junior has to thank for his poor finish is himself. He came down on Kyle and Kyle got loose and hit him. Didn’t he hear his interview the night before? He messed with the bull and got the horn. Same thing you’re gonna get if you talk trash about Denny Hamlin again. If you don’t have facts keep your trap shut!
Hamlin stopped on the track intentionally then started moving again to the pits. It looks mighty suspicious that he’d do that just until he got the caution then make his way to the pits on his own. His teammate wasn’t going to win otherwise and Hamlin gets paid to race for Joe Gibbs. If he does his part to make Joe Gibbs happy then why wouldn’t he cheat?
I’m not the only one who thinks Hamlin is a cheater either. If he stopped because he couldn’t move then it would have been fine, but he started moving again ONCE caution came out and got himself to the pits. Sorry you were too blind to see that, because everybody else watching the race did.
He deserves a hefty fine for that one.
Standard procedure when you feel a tire going down is to get to the apron and pit before it blows and causes a wreck. Hamlin called in about the flat WELL before the caution. He knew it. He helped his teammate. Period. He should be fined for creating an unsafe condition. As for Kyle hitting Dale, and I’m not an Earnhart fan, it was just as blatant as his cheating move at Talledega. The guy’s a cheater. If you’re a fan you’ll just have to deal with the fact your guy is a cheater. I’m not assuming. Everybody saw it.
First of all, Kyle Busch didn’t steal a win away from Junior - Busch got second.
Every Junior fan ignores that the 88 admitted he did not give Busch enough room.
It is just too bad Earnhardt Junior fans have to blame other things for not winning.
AND WILL NEVER LET IT GO…when Earnhardt Junior said he is over it and moved on. Earnhardt can’t win and Kyle is winning - Cry me a river and GET OVER IT!!!
