Psychology major and sprinter for Mississippi, Rodney Lydale Lockhart, was found dead in his apartment on Saturday where he had been shot to death near the campus of Ole Miss. Lockhart was just 20 years old and was a junior at the college.
Lockhart was a part of the 1,600 meter relay team in the 2006 World Junior Championships in Beijing. The team won a gold medal for their performance in the race.
The Oxford police arrived at Lockhart’s apartment in the morning hours on Saturday after they received a 911 call. Apparently in the call, a man said that he found the college student on the floor. Lockhart was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner, Lonnie Weaver.

The Bills are having a terrible season and who could blame them. The tragedy with Kevin Everett and the possibility that he may never walk again would shake any team. Our thoughts are certainly with him during his physical therapy and hopefully some sort of recovery.
I was really happy my predictions did so well last week. I’m hoping for a repeat performance this week. While I’ve done fairly well with my picks this entire year, I want to make sure I’m not getting overly confident. That’s when I tend to mess up and pick teams on personal feelings and emotions rather on whether I believe they are going to win or not.
